Around since the 18th century…

The Six Bells Inn

Though the exact date of construction isn't known, The Six Bells likely dates to the 18th or early 19th century, built to serve local farmers, travellers, and labourers.

However, the history of the pub is entwined with the history of the village of Penmark itself.

We took over the Six Bells in August 2025, bringing along our two children, Cassie and George. After a few months of renovating and repairing, we reopened the Bells in November 2025. Kyle has worked on and off in the Bells since 2008, and Becky had a brief period working there from 2019 to 2020, which is where we met, so both of us are familiar with the pub.
